Dale Huber was born and raised in Clare County, Michigan, where he contributed to caring for the family farm, learning the value of hard work. After graduating from Harrison High School, Dale moved to Saginaw to attend college, but found success as an assistant manager at Discount Tire Company, where he spent the next several years.
After meeting his wife, Sara, he decided to change course and get his real estate license in 2004, just months before the wedding date. He quit his job as manager at Discount Tire two weeks before their wedding in July 2004, and started his career as a Realtor the day he and Sara returned from their honeymoon. He founded DS Huber Properties & Development, LLC, in 2008, after spending four years working for local brokerages Century 21 Home Towne, Briarwood Realty, and Gateway to Homes Realty, where he got his first property management referral in 2008.
Since then, the business has grown and changed, including a business name change in 2017. Dale lives in Eaton Rapids with his wife Sara, three beautiful children, a dog, and several bunnies. The Hubers enjoy traveling by RV in their spare time.
Sara Huber is a native of East Lansing and an alumna of both Michigan State University (Go Green!) and the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!). After graduating from UGA, she spent just one year in Marietta, GA, to start her teaching career, but in 2000 decided that she missed her home state too much. She spent the next 11 years as a Latin teacher in Lansing, where she met Dale, married, and had two children before “retiring” from teaching in order to help grow the business in 2011. In 2014, she and her family relocated to a larger yard with room for chickens, bees, and rabbits, as well as for the Hubers' fifth family member, all while continuing to work on and in the business full-time.
Sara’s role in the business started small, but has grown to include ownership, business development, accounting, and team member training. Sara appreciates the opportunity to work most days from the home office in her pajamas.
In 2019, the Huber family took an epic six-week cross-country journey by fifth wheel. She loves traveling and camping with her family, and has recently discovered a passion for canning and preserving, especially unique jam flavors.

She was married in 1997 while working as Vice President of Operations for Butterball Farms, Inc. In 2000, she decided to stay home to raise her older daughter. In 2005, just after the birth of her second daughter, she purchased the fitness franchise Curves for Women in Greenville, MI. As her husband’s company began to flourish, it became necessary for her to close the club to work from home for her husband’s company full time.
